3d rendering I did of a fake apple product called an Apple iPad (Jan 28, 2010 Update: Since so many people are asking me about this video now, I thought I would post some more information. This was done back in 2007 for a school marketing class. I had to create a new product and market it. Instead of doing a power point presentation like everyone else in the class, I decided to do a commercial and let the product sell itself. Also, no I do not work for Apple and no they did not pay me for the name iPad. It’s kind of funny that the name is the only thing people that saw it back then said they didn’t like and said Apple would never name a product that. I posted this video and my other videos on my website www.wesleyseay.com just incase youtube pulls this video for some reason. Thank you all for watching… Now to figure out the next product and make it. lol

@TheSkylie your argument for the ipad being useless is that its a big ipod touch or iphone, ok so its a larger version of a very very successful product? that doesnt seem so bad, because in fact a 60 inch tv is just a larger 20 inch tv and im sure that you wouldnt argue the 60 inch tv is so useless

I’m getting mine tomorrow. I already got an iPod touch and as a linux admin it’s the bomb in the office. I run upside down with it, reading my mails and connecting on servers to do my thing: ALL IN MY PALM. I hope the iPad will surprise me cuz I ain’t that excited bout it(AND THE BEGGING EYES OF THESE FOLKS AIN’T GUD NEWS); but I trust dem Apple gurus to not be stupid tho…. – Updates soon

iPod touch jumbo. The iPad is quite a useless product. Like all of Apple’s new products, it’s all about status, regardless of how stupid this thing is. They excel in what us North American’s have been known to do: Package and Advertise big bunches of crap.

I would say this thing… is a useless and redundant device.
That “Scott” guy looks ways too exicted over a device that a netbook can already do. $500 for a device that’s only 16GB and half as big as a lunch tray? The iPod Touch is a 100x more marketable than this thing. You can’t even do anything productive on it, it’s all just for eye-candy.
